VIBRANT VIEW

VIBRANT VIEW is an abstract painting in mixed media, including watercolor, ink, and metallic embossing. The subject matter is an abstract interpretation of an aerial view of the land topography around Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, bordered by the route I-70 on the north, and I-40 on the south.

GATHERING PLACE

GATHERING PLACE is an architectural watercolor. This selection was inspired by the Community Club House in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri.

WINTER PUEBLO

WINTER PUEBLO is one of my favorite acrylic pieces. It was inspired by a scene in northern New Mexico during the winter. The intensity of the winter sky against the amber tones of the southwestern stucco in the light of the winter's setting sun, and the deep brick tones of the wood, lightly covered with the winter's snow.

WINDJAMMER SYCAMORE

WINDJAMMER SYCAMORE is an acrylic landscape. This scene was inspired by a lone Sycamore tree growing on the water's edge on Lake Saint Louis in Missouri.

DESERT GLOW

DESERT GLOW is an acrylic landscape. It was inspired by the Riudoso Mountains in southern New Mexico.

CONEFLOWERS

CONEFLOWERS is a floral, done in acrylics.

OAXACAN PARROT

OAXACAN PARROT is watercolor, however, it is a unique format. I refer to it as a "ceramicized" watercolor.  This piece was inspired by much of the artwork I saw when visiting Oaxaca, Mexico. The style easily lent itself to a watercolor format. The unique watercolor quality on this piece, involves the colors being heavily mixed, and  then allowed to blend based on their own viscosities. Notice the unique color blending in the feathers of Oaxacan Parrot.

AZALEA DAWN

AZALEA DAWN is an abstract watercolor.

BEACHCOMBER

BEACHCOMBER is a watercolor, and was from my early endeavors with watercolors.

JAPANESE IRISES
